Il Nevegàl, terrace on the Dolomites, is located at an altitude ranging from 1000 to 1760 meters above sea level, just a few minutes away from the exit of the A27 highway that connects the Province of Belluno to the rest of the Veneto region.
Rifugio Bristot can be reached on foot:
- Via Faverghera - Rist La Casera (1396 m above sea level), 3 km away, approximately 1 hour walk, along a dirt road or the Crests trail (n. 2000).
- from Piazzale Nevegàl (1063 m a.s.l.), see Nevegàl trail map;
- from Pian dele Femene (1100 m a.s.l.), 11.5 km, 3.30 hours.

When the ski lifts are open, the hut is only a 15-minute walk from the chairlift arrival station.
